Weekend Watch: Festival in Arlington & Fundraiser Kids' Party in Alexandria

Filed Under:

It's the weekend of the annual Clarendon Day Street Festival in Arlington, this Saturday from 12 noon to 7 p.m. We love the Clarendon neighborhood, and it's a great way to enjoy being outdoors with little ones during the nice weather. Lots of food, live music, arts and vendors, and children's activities.

And in Alexandria on Saturday, from 3 to 6 p.m., it's the "Let's Get It Started" fundraising kick-off party for the new Alexandria Soft Playroom, to be housed at the Chinquapin Rec Center. The party takes place outdoors at the Chinquapin Park, 3210 King St. (but will move indoors to the Rec Center if it rains). FREE admission and geared toward children and families: Moonbounces, a ball pit, games, live kids' entertainment, and arts and crafts. Mr. Don performs from 4 to 5 p.m.
