Summer options for early childhood & parenting programs

Filed Under:

Summer schedules are out for DC-area early childhood enrichment and parenting programs, and there's a lot to choose from!

While I can't possibly cover every great local program, here are a few recommendations for programs that offer an eclectic, diverse lineup - including summer day camps, playgroups, "mommy & me" classes that integrate movmement/music/language/pretend play, parenting workshops and seminars. Check their websites for summer offerings and registration details:

Parenting Playgroups in Alexandria, VA
Jonah's Treehouse in Glover Park, NW DC
Parent Child University in DC & NoVa
The Family Room on Capitol Hill
musiKids in Bethesda & Rockville, MD and Chevy Chase, NW DC

Other spots to find diverse programming this summer include your local Parks & Rec departments, local YMCA branches, and the DC-area Jewish Community Centers.
