RFK steps up to the plate

Filed Under:

Want to catch Nationals games and other events at RFK Stadium, but don't have a babysitter? You may have read my review of RFK (in the first edition of the DC Baby book), in which I was less than impressed with the venue's accommodations for families with young children. But there's good news on this front, from one of my readers, Orna, who writes:

"Just wanted to let you know there have been a few changes. Yesterday, my husband and I took our 9-month-old to the Nats game at RFK. We were able to bring our stroller, and checked it with Guest Services. (Apparently you can also bring it to the stands if it can fit under the seats, but we didn't want it all gooped up with spilt beer and peanut shells.)

We also learned that there are a few select restrooms (both men's and women's) that have baby changing stations. When you check your stroller at Guest Services, you may want to ask which restrooms on your level have the tables, to avoid shlepping all over the place in a seemingly fruitless search.

Looking forward to the new stadium opening next year!"
