Mothers & Babies Support Group at Lebowitz Center

A respected local therapist gives this moms' support group a strong endorsement:
The Adele Lebowitz Center for Youth and Families is offering a group for both new and experienced mothers -- An opportunity to learn about themselves and their babies, alongside other moms and with the help of experienced facilitators.
WHEN: Wednesdays, 12 noon to 1 p.m.

Metro: Friendship Heights on the Red Line
WHO: Mothers accompanied by their babies, newborn to 12 months
COST: $70, sliding fee possible
Participants will:
- Create a supportive environment for sharing challenges and
difficulties
- Reduce feelings of isolation of depression
- Increase awareness of parent/baby interactions
- Develop greater understanding of their baby's signals and their own
responses to these signals
- Learn to respond creatively to challenges such as feeding issues and sleep problems
