Weekend Watch: Will Ernesto Rain on Our Parade(s)?

Filed Under:

I'm no weatherman, but if the latest reports can be believed, there's a 50-50 chance of more Ernesto rain tomorrow, while Sunday and the Monday holiday look dry. Which is good news, because there are tons of family-friendly outdoor events planned for the Labor Day weekend!

My picks are the parades. Free. Outdoors. Non-interruption of naptime or bedtime. Come-and-go as you please. And guaranteed enjoyment for 99.5 percent of small children.

The Gaithersburg Labor Day Parade is Monday starting at 1 p.m.

The Kensington Labor Day Parade & Festival is Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Greenbelt Labor Day Parade (part of their weekend-long festival) is Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon

Enjoy a safe & fun holiday weekend!
