Web-Logging

Not that I sit around reading blogs and eating bon-bons all day (no siree, not me!), but did you know that Leslie Morgan Steiner, Washington Post staffer and author of the new book Mommy Wars, is blogging at the Post's site? V. interesting - especially if you spend any time thinking about the whole "working mom" vs. "stay-at-home-mom" catfight. (Is it just me, or hasn't anyone discovered that in real life, most of us have carved out a precarious but glorious situation that levitates somewhere in between these seemingly mutually-exclusive poles??)

On the subject of blogs, my DC Baby readers have turned me on to several that fall into the funny-smart-and-addictive variety, penned by mamas. In fact, one of my kind and savvy readers, Victoria, has boosted my coolness rating by introducing me to local blogger Elizabeth of Half Changed World: a DC mom/policy wonk's musings on work, parenthood, gender, politics, and the rest of life.

And thanks to the gals who have pointed me toward:

City Mama (perhaps my fave)
Family Food
Blogging Baby
Nonlinear Girl
Daring Young Mom
Literary Mama (which is dishing some dirt on Steiner's Mommy Wars book this very day)
& MomBrain

And then there's the blog written by that father-guy, MetroDad. And the father-guy blogger he's often confused with, Daddy Types.

Not that I sit around reading blogs and eating bon-bons all day. No siree.
