Weekend Watch

Can you believe this beautiful fall weather in Washington? Let's enjoy it while it lasts! Here are a few of my favorite goings-on this weekend:
On Saturday at the Kennedy Center, check out two back-to-back events. From noon to 5 p.m. there's the Multicultural Children's Book Festival, featuring book signings, readings, celebrity appearances, and family entertainment. All FREE. Then at 6 p.m. on the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage, catch the FREE kids' concert and CD release party for SteveSongs.
On Sunday, check out children's musician The Banjo Man at the Takoma Park Farmer's Market from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, while enjoying the weather and picking up some locally-grown produce. Then swing by Apple Days at the Reston Zoo in NoVa.
